When kids get to their teenage years, they usually want to start becoming a bit more independent and make more decisions for themselves.
If you have diabetes, this is also a time that you may want to start taking greater responsibility for your diabetes management. It's a good idea to talk to as many people as possible, ask loads of questions, and find out as much as you can about your condition so that you can be in greater charge of your health.

Some other people you can talk to if you have any worries about your diabetes are your
endocrinologist, your diabetes educator or a psychologist/counsellor. It's also good to speak with other people who have diabetes.
