The Meter - Dealing with Hypo Blues
Getting through your VCE affects you and your whole family.

It's the finale of your schooling years, and it's a big deal for most people. Because VCE is so important, it tends to be a pretty stressful period, and this kind of stress can have a major impact on your diabetes control.

If you're about to start studying for your VCE, have a read of some of our tips on surviving the year with minimum pain!

TIPS FOR SURVIVING VCE
  • If you're stressed and it's affecting your blood sugars, re-think how frequently you test yourself. Maybe you could change your system and set a phone or pump alert to remind you to test more regularly?

  • Set up a study timetable to make sure you get through everything that you need to. This will help to avoid last-minute stress, and your parents will thank you for it!

  • Get everything you need ready for the exams, like a full hypo and testing kit, water, and enough carbohydrate foods to see you through the whole exam. Don't wait to do this on the morning of the exam!
